July 12- a date of many events....
Okay, so I had July 12 set aside as my 1st Annual summer cruise to Port Dover.
Well, I got to thinking it may be cool to go to the event that KCW forum regulars will be a part of in South Carolina. See here for details: http://www.vwdragnight.com/
So I was thinking "What do I do???". Cancel the local cruise to travel 15 hours to SC? I may or may not actually go to SC, so everything was in limbo...
Now, I see that the KW club is having Bug-Out 28 on July 12. So that sealed the deal.
I am either cancelling the summer cruise, or moving it. I don't know yet. Stay tuned.
But I am seriously considering going to SC for that weekend. And I am considering driving my '59 vert down. No, not trailering it, DRIVING it. It was built to be a driver, and this trip would prove it. All I need is a few folks to come down with me. Who's in???
Greg, i gotta check the schedule, I would be interested in putting my car to the test on a drive like that to SC. Put me down with a 50% chance- it's cottage season!

As long as I'm not doing donuts/burn outs/hard launches etc etc...I don't need no stinkin' support vehicle! :P

There is a Dragstrip at this event! For me to bring the super, the trans will have to be swapped out. No way am i going 15hrs in a solid mounted close ratio 4spd. :)
The split? If it were done, i wouldn't do that trip for its maiden voyage. Maybe next year.
