I'm sure most of you guys are familiar with each others cars..but for those of us that are not from the Toronto area..I know I'd like to see pics of everyones rides. Thanks
When I was 19 I had my first car a 1975 VW Jean model for a $1000. OSAP happily financed that car. I lucked into a solid car compared to what I am seeing these days. Then 6 years later I bought a 1972 vw panel van with tear drop 70's windows. That turned out to be way more than I could handle as far as a project was concerned. I promised myself that if I didn't do anything with the 1975 buy the time I was 30 y.o I would sell the car. Well 30 came and went as did the car. Well fast forward to 2008 when I see Greg's car (1968) up for sale on a Website I had never seen before (the Samba). Called him up...he was pleasant, knew his stuff and a deal was struck. I wanted a driver. But as I had forgotten all vw need attention. But I am enjoying the journey. This will be my frist step into the vw scene as I plan to purchase at least one more over the next year or so.
Hey Patty! I still have the cartoon you drew up of me back in the "hoodride" days. I always liked your car. Don't ever change it!
highwaychild, yours is neat too. I haven't seen it since it was in Gregs driveway a few moons ago!
I don't have a picture of mine in its current trim, and it has yet to awaken from its hibernation to take some.
Alex
