1965 Notchback- magazine feature car $21,000 CDN

I bought this car from Tim Hesse of Florida back in the spring of 2008. I have changed nothing on this car since I bought it except the battery. Tim pulled the stereo at my request before shipping it to me. I can include a stereo with the sale of the car, dependant on price paid.
The car has a 7" KCW Type 1 beam with no shocks. CB dropped spindles and front disc brakes with cross drilled rotors. Rear has adjustable, chromed spring plates with drum brakes. The drums were machined flat on the surface the rim bolts to for a really cool look. 1600cc engine with Berg heads and dual 34 Webers. Deep sump. Powdercoated tin. Chrome highlites and matching fasteners. Ceramic coated exhaust with a type 1 muffler. J-pipes are ceramic coated as well.
Car was painted at Ultimate Motorworks in Orlando who does Lambo's and Ferraris. http://www.ultimatemotors.com/
Hood, fenders and quarters are all NOS as are the door handles and other misc items on the car. Rare Albert type 3 rear view mirrors. Color is Beryl Green. Shaved molding, license light, front hood trim. The paint on the car is flawless. Absolutely incredible.
Interior receives TONS of compliments all the time. Plaid seats and door panels in a wool type of fabric, with vinyl borders. Whole car is Dynamatted. Everything! I've never seen so much. Every nook and cranny. It is definitely one quiet air-cooled VW. You can even carry on a conversation in it! Rare Speedwell steering wheel. Flat 4 shifter. German squareweave carpeting. Original type 3 mats front and rear. Dash was dyed brown to match the theme. Perfect headliner.
All glass is original, even the windshield has the VW emblem on it. Stainless, polished hex head fasteners throughout the car. Hella headlight rings. Matching spare.
The pan is a '68. It has no signs of rust. It has been undercoated black, as were the fenderwells. Rims are American racing 4.5" in the front and 6" in the rear. Front tires are Michelin 145s (try and find those anymore) and rears are Kuhmo 225!

This car won it's class, Best Interior and BEST OF SHOW at the first show I had it to- June Jitterbug in Niagara Falls. It shows well, is a blast to drive, and is reliable. I never fail to get lots of thumbs up when cruising, and even the domestic old car guys stop and stare when I drive by. I have owned a few VWs and this one has received the most attention by far.

I will assist with shipping anywhere. Key word here is ASSIST.

Serious enquiries only please. I have enough going on in my life without answering questions about the car out of curiosity.
